About the Artist

An award-winning, abstract painter, Carolyn Riegelman has been creating original, affordable, collectible, abstract works for over 50 years. Based in Denton, Texas, Carolyn's pieces are curated and enjoyed by private and corporate collectors throughout the United States.

Carolyn's use of rich color and multiple layers produces surprises and strong revelations. "I paint spontaneously, emphasizing sophisticated, surprising compositions with bursts of unexpected color. My creative process is a journey without a plan for the final destination. I paint, until the painting takes over. I arrive in a space that was forged and built along the way. I'm often surprised and delighted by the places the creative journey takes me."

In addition to painting, Carolyn leads painting workshops several times a year. She delights in sharing techniques and encouragement with fellow artists. Attending one of her workshops is a must for artists seeking fresh inspiration and creative techniques.
